520 Abstract Painting and Perception
This workshop will explore the relationship between perception and different modes of abstraction in painting. This class will be organized around open studio time. Students will be encouraged to work from observation from various subjects – landscape, still life, the figure – while imposing a formal point of view particular to their own sensibilities. Drawing and collage will serve as tools to construct a picture.
