This workshop will focus on how to paint light reflection and refraction of light in water. From reflections on a rippling pond, refraction of light at the beach, to diamonds on a bay, this class will explore different techniques used to translate the complexities of expressing water into paint. Demonstrations and photo references will illustrate the process of capturing the subject of water in a variety of landscape styles utilizing palette choice, contrast, and reflection. Image references will be available although students are encouraged to bring their own images as well. Students will provide their own materials. A suggested materials list for acrylics may be provided for those who are interested. All levels are welcome.
