411 Introduction to Indigo Dyeing
In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of the ancient art of dyeing fabric using indigo, a natural dye that produces beautiful shades of blue. We’ll cover the basics of creating and maintaining an indigo vat, as well as various techniques for achieving different patterns and effects on your fabric. Bring your own light-colored cotton, linen, or silk items, or create samples using the provided cotton fabric. You will leave the class with a dye bath to take home. $40 materials fee payable to instructor.
