340 Visual Journaling: Exploring Personal Narratives Through Art & Writing

Visual journaling is a method of journaling that combines writing and art. The practice offers a creative, judgment-free space to combine diary writing, doodling, to-do lists, sketching and mixed media techniques (collage, paint, found objects, drawing) while exploring our personal stories, surroundings, and emotions. Designed for all skill levels. This course is structured like a creative lab with experimentation at its core and meaning-making through materials. There is a central focus on self-expression and playfulness rather than perfection. Participants learn to build, layer, and personalize their journals using a range of materials and will learn to work on location, from memory, and photos.
