323 Plein Aire
Spring early afternoons are a great time to explore the wonders of nature by painting en plein aire. As the season progresses, not only is it warmer, but our color gradually shifts from the familiar winter tones to the intense green of spring. This course is focused on the fundamentals of this method of spontaneous on-site landscape painting. Plein aire locations will be selected from the towns of Cohasset, Scituate and Hingham. Students will learn the uses of one dimension. Atmospheric perspective through the use of color and light values is an important concept which will also be studied.
