315 Basic Watercolor Demystified 

This class is designed for beginning to intermediate students. The goal of this class will be to introduce students to the unique medium of watercolor by addressing issues of concept planning, materials, and techniques, as well as compositional components such as shape, space, and value. Visual elements and principles related to the latter will be discussed at the appropriate time as an integral part of the learning experience. Each class will start with a short talk and demonstration followed by class participation and practice. Students will be encouraged to explore and challenge themselves in a comfortable studio environment designed to demystify this traditional medium. No Class February 8 and 22.
