308 Botanical Beachcombing

The beach in winter can be bleak and cold, but there are still many things to collect and draw. In this class we will record the objects that wash up on the shoreline. Tides and storms leave all sorts of treasures and the evidence of last years beach flora hint at the possibilities of the new season. The limited palette of leaves, shells, seaweeds, and seed pods are all part of the beach habitat and are wonderful subjects to record as we wait for spring. No class on February 21.
