New and returning students are welcome!
Unlock your creative potential in this welcoming drawing class for adults of all skill levels. Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or returning to a long-lost passion, this class encourages growth, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the art of drawing. Returning and seasoned artists may choose to focus on personal project ideas. Learn new techniques, develop drawing skills and learn or refine essential drawing skills through guided weekly drawing exercises in line, value, perspective, composition and shading. Work from still-life setups in class, bring your own reference images, or study examples from art history for inspiration. Summer subject matters will be explored using photographs, master art prints, or in short walks to draw outdoors in nature, en plein air. This class offers a supportive environment with personalized feedback, where beginners can build a strong foundation and experienced artists can refine their techniques. By the end, you’ll leave with a toolbox of skills, a selection of work, and the confidence to continue your artistic journey.
