151 Intro to Wheel-Throwing (Grades 5-8)
Students will be taught how to prepare, center and work with clay to wheel throw vessels of various shapes and sizes, including bowls, cups and mugs. They will learn proper trimming techniques, how to create and attach handles, decorative elements, and explore various glazing options. When not wheel throwing, students will refine their hand-building skills – including coiling, slab building and pinch pots to create functional and sculptural pieces.
