150 Creative Mending for Kids – Customize Your Clothes! (Grades 5-8)
In this class, kids will learn how to use colorful fabrics, threads, embroidery, and hand-sewing techniques to turn their clothes into one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art that show off their personality. Fix a hole in a beloved sweater, or just add some flair to a pair of pants. Learn how to sew and customize at the same time! Classes will be structured around learning the basics such as must-know stitches and ways to use them to create patterns and designs: patching and applique techniques, and using stitching methods to customize and personalize their creations.
