Adult Scholarship

A scholarship is also available to adult members of the Art Center. The Margaret Dillon Memorial Fund was established in 1989 through the generosity of the Dillon and Bergfors families. The purpose of the annual $500 scholarship is to assist individuals whose artistic aspirations have been interrupted by other demands of life. Anyone who at some point has experimented with visual art and has work to show is encouraged to apply, whether or not they have ever formally studied art. Interest and potential talent rather than accomplishment is the focus. Scholarship funds may be used to defray tuition at the South Shore Art Center or any other school for the arts. Call Heather Collins at 781-383-2787 for more information. Applications and sample artwork must be submitted by 9 p.m. on April 30 (drop-off schedule above).
