WE 425 Painting Projects: Responding to Jeppe Hein: A New End
Kim Alemian
In collaboration with The Trustees of Reservations—World’s End, we will draw on the stunning natural beauty and fall landscape at World’s End. Color, shape, value, light and texture are elements to investigate as you walk through the labyrinth, touch the mirrored panels, and create your own interpretation of Jeppe Hein’s installation/sculpture A New End in the landscape. The first day will consist of exploring the landscape with Jeppe Hein’s sculptural installation. We will be making small oils and gathering source material through sketches, and photography to incorporate into a medium-scale painting back at the studio. Each subsequent day will be spent at World’s End in the morning and in the studio during the afternoon.
Check back in the spring!
